Hey, it’s March! As my grandparents (Mum’s family) used to say:

A pinch and a punch for the first of the month, and no returns for the day…

To which you’d reply:

A pinch and a kick for being so quick, and no returns for the day…

The “no returns” bit strikes me as a little schoolyard-ish…and entirely typical of my grandpa.

Whereas my husband’s family all say:

White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits

…which makes no sense to me at all, but he’ll even ring me from work if he’s forgotten to say it in the morning.

Not a ridiculous amount to say about the day (I worked a little bit at my paid day job, did the school run thing, enjoyed the weather)… though I did somehow manage to work a breakthrough for a short story I’m working on for the whole draft a week thing.

Huzzah! Now heading downstairs to play a bit of Wrath of the Righteous, which I’m restarting after a long hiatus :)
